SEASONAL PROGRAMS

Programs with a Purpose

Throughout the year, clients are invited to participate in a series of seasonal programs. These include: Easter Baskets of Love (April), School Supplies (August), Share Your Feast Thanksgiving (November), The Gift of Food (December) and Christmas Gifts for Kids (December).

Residents of Waukee School District are eligible to apply.  Online registration is required.

If you would like to participate in Share Your Feast Thanksgiving, The Gift of Food or Christmas Gifts for Kids program, please complete and submit the online application by clicking the “2021 Holiday Application” button below.

APRIL

Easter Baskets of Love

The Easter Baskets of Love program is an opportunity for your children to celebrate Easter and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Each basket is filled with traditional Easter goodies, small toys, and new socks and underwear.

Children ages 212 will be eligible for Easter baskets. All children through high school age are eligible to receive new socks and underwear.

NOTE: Basket items, socks, and underwear are based on availability.

Client Registration Deadline:

Check back March 2022

Client Pick-Up Dates:

  • Pick-up time assigned during client registration
  • Typically the week before Easter

AUGUST

School Supplies

Helping students start the school year equipped to succeed. Back-to-school supplies are available for children in grades kindergarten through high school.

NOVEMBER

Share Your Feast Thanksgiving

Each pre-packaged Thanksgiving box provides all the ingredients for a family to make a generous holiday meal. Items are based on availability, including a selection of either a turkey, ham or whole chicken.

DECEMBER

The Gift of Food

This program provides an opportunity to receive assistance with both a Christmas food box and Christmas gifts for kids.

The food box is pre-assembled and includes a variety of food and personal care items that will provide you with a little extra blessing during the Christmas season. Families in need of help with gifts for their children can apply online.
