Feed More, Waste Less
Waukee Area Christian Services food rescue program offers an outlet for retailers to provide quality food to those in need and divert the food from ending up in a landfill.
Each week, our WACS van collects hundreds of pounds of produce, dairy, deli, meat, bakery and grocery items from our retail partners in Dallas County. These donated products are distributed to clients throughout the week.
Retail Donations
Support from our local retail partners allowed us to distribute 18,000+ pounds of nutritious food this year. WACS is thankful to all of our gracious retail partners who have invested in our mission.

Food Pantry Van
Our cargo van plays an important role in picking up orders and donations from our partners.
The purchase of the van was made possible through a grant from the City of Waukee and Stiver’s Ford Lincoln Waukee. Graphics were provided by Schneider Graphics.
