CLOTHING CLOSET

WACS Clothing Closet

Boosting Self-Esteem and Confidence Through Clothing

Growing up is tough. Growing up without the resources you need, including proper clothing, is even tougher. With our Clothing Closet, families with students ages 4–18 years old can shop in a boutique-like setting, once a month to pick out both new and like-new clothing items free of cost. This clothing service is guided by our mission to recognize the inherent dignity of all humans. Clients are invited to select items that meet their personal needs and style preferences. Great importance is placed on ensuring that only high-quality clothing makes its way onto our racks. We strive to delight our clients by keeping a clean and organized store, and providing friendly and helpful service.

Questions and Answers

How often can we visit the Clothing Closet? Registered clients may visit once a month.
Do you have clothing for adults? Not at this time.  Our space is limited so our current focus is on children.
If we don’t find the number of items we are allowed to take home, can we come again in the same month? Just like the Food Pantry, visits are limited to once a month.
Does your Clothing Closet replace the Dallas County Closet? The Dallas County Closet merged into Waukee Area Christain Services on April 1, 2022, in order to offer families food, clothing, medical services, and overall support in one place.
